After over 5 weeks of registrations, participations, conversations, amazing works being created, we have finally come to the end of the ARTTA COVID CHALLENGE, an invigorating experience of talented artists from all over Africa.
“I am very happy that I have become a member of the ARTTA family, thank you so much!” Sarra Ben Ftima (TUNISIA), 1st place winner in the ARTTA Covid Challenge as she receives her cash prize of USD $1,000 and the title of “WELL BALANCED PIECE”.
Over 300 talented artists registered to compete in this challenge, and after rigorous steps, popular votes and judges panel, winners emerged and 10 were awarded. The Top 10 artists were announced on our social media platform as well as congratulations to all deserving participants.
Amongst the top 3 were Nahimana Prince from Rwanda awarded the title “Unique Perspective” (2nd place) and Kiyara Coulibaly Nigerian born Nigerien awarded the title “Excellent Use of Colours” (3rd place) who received USD $500 and USD $200 respectively.
Nahimana, of the Kigali deaf art gallery said upon receipt of his cash prize, “Thank you ARTTA for the competition… I encourage all African artists to register for the next competition, and take this opportunity”
As well as a cash prizes, the top 10 artists and their works are featured in our gallery, with the opportunity for a select amount of works for sale, as a way of continuous support to these artists.

Amongst the top 10 artists are Selvia Talat (Egypt) “Great Composition”, Rukundo Epaphrodite (Rwanda) “Good Work”, Roseleah Warimu (Kenya) “Interesting Technique”, Edwin Wainaina (Kenya) “Best Use of Technology”, Ayewa Michael (Nigeria) “Forward Thinker”, Nardos Amare (Ethiopia) “Future Role Model”, Abosseh Mawuko (Togo) “Super Creative” – Luladey Teshome (Ethiopia) “Out of The Box Thinker”.
